Alpaca trek in East Sussex

Sunny days – meet Pixie on an alpaca walk

On an alpaca walk here at Spring Farm Alpacas, you will get to meet our mum’s and babies group. This year we have 20 babies now on the ground – all fit and bouncing around the fields. After your alpaca walk, you get a chance to spend some quality time with this group of super friendly alpacas. Mind you, the mums constantly remind the baby alpacas to be careful of the humans…trouble is, they don’t always pay attention to their mums and their natural curiosity overcomes them and they will come up to you and if you are very quiet and reach out, chances are they will enjoy your company as much as we enjoy theirs!

On these long Summer days, the babies spend a lot of time fast asleep. They wake up regularly though to ask their mums for a drink of milk and then can’t resist exploring or going chasing round the fields. After your alpaca trek, come and meet them and perhaps you can persuade Pixie to wake up and come over to play!
